HIS HIGHNESS Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of Emirates Racing Authority (ERA) has approved the fixture list of the 2021-2022 UAE racing season.

The 2021-22 season comprises 68 meetings starting with the campaign opener at Jebel Ali Racecourse on Friday, 29 October. This is followed by Sharjah Racecourse on Saturday, October 30, while Meydan Racecourse races begin on Thursday November 4. Al Ain Racecourse will commence on Friday, November 5, and Abu Dhabi Racecourse will kick off its first race on Sunday, November 7, 2021.

The UAE season will include 15 meetings at Abu Dhabi Racecourse, 14 meetings at Al Ain Racecourse, 11 meetings at Jebel Ali Racecourse, 6 meetings at Sharjah Longines Racecourse, while Meydan Racecourse schedule this year includes 22 meetings.

The international part of the season, the 2022 Dubai World Cup Carnival will kick-off at Dubai’s marquee Meydan Racecourse on 13 January, 2022, and will end with the traditional Super Saturday fixture on 5 March, 2022. Three weeks later, on 26 March, Meydan will host the multi-million Dubai World Cup card as its last meeting of the season.

“We are happy to launch the 2021-2022 racing programme, which provides trainers, owners and horse fans with an integrated season on the UAE 5 racecourses,” Sheikh Mansoor said.

“Through this fixture, we offer local and international races for Thoroughbred and Purebred Arabian horses.”

Abu Dhabi will host the penultimate meeting on 31 March, with the curtains coming down on 1 April at Al Ain.
