The 1200m turf sprint at Meydan this evening has attracted a round dozen runners, including three who have already won at the 2019 international extravaganza, as well as a trio victorious on their latest outing. Falling into both categories are Mazzini, a 1000m turf handicap winner on his local debut and first start for Fawzi Nass a fortnight ago, as well as Dream Today. The latter, on his first start for Jamie Osborne and in the ownership of Melbourne 10 Racing, prevailed in a humdinger of a handicap over today’s course and distance four weeks ago.

High On Life, who has won over this 1200m, was victorious on his most recent appearance, over 1000m at Jebel Ali, while Another Batt was a carnival winner, over 1400m on turf, on the opening night of the carnival. Subsequently unable to land a blow in the Group 2 Al Fahidi Fort over the same turf 1400m, Another Batt is reunited with Connor Beasley, aboard for the first night success and is a ual 1200m winner, including in Turkey.
