Liberty Beach excited spectators en route to a spectacular success in the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes on the second day of Glorious Goodwood on Wednesday.
Trained by John Quinn, the 2yo Cable Bay filly displayed an exciting turn of foot under Jason Hart to claim what was her fourth victory in five career starts.
Hart found it difficult to find a way through having run just off the pace but when a gap opened he took full advantage and Liberty Beach burst forward to finish a length ahead of Alligator Alley, who was a further length ahead of Show Me Show Me.
Her owner breeder Philip Wilkins, who bought her back for just £16,000 at the sales last year, said: "We just love racing and that's why we're here.
"I'm overwhelmed. We got a number of offers for her but the money doesn't mean much and we thought we'd stick with her.
"I would love to see her run in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes at Newmarket, that would be my dream."
