Trainer Jean-Loup de Mieulle and jockey Oliver D'andigne combined to land the PA Group 2 The President of the United Arab Emirates Cup at Baden-Baden, Germany, Queenshala providing the pair with a fine success in the 1600m turf contest.

De Mieulle and D’andigne have partnered successfully in Germany before and last year won a Listed contest that had been held as part of the President of the UAE Cup Series.

A 5yo Al Mamun Monlau mare, Queenshala won in 1:48.03, finishing ahead of the Philip Collington trained Ekleel Athbah, the ride of UAE Champion Jockey Tadhg O’Shea.

Mayar Al Khalediah took third for trainer Michal Borkowski and jockey Bauyrzhan Murzabayev.

The UAE President Cup Series is held under the patronage of the His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival, which carries the name of Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Presidential Affairs. The Festival through its many series encourages owners and breeders to breed and acquire Purebred Arabian horses.

The Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival is active around the world with races sponsored in Britain, United States, Europe and South America.
