Trainer Thomas Fourcy and jockey Faleh Nasser Bughenaim combined to win the Wathba Stallions Cup conditions event at Dax, Bashar supplying the pair with success.

A 3yo son of Al Mourtajez, Bashar found the going relatively easy with Bughenaim ensuring he finished four and a half lengths clear of the Jean Francois Bernard trained and Gary Sanchez driven Batak in the 2300m contest on dirt. A further length and quarter in arrears was Ainhoa Petrucio, the ride of Alejandro Gutierrez Val, who is also trained by Bernard.

The Wathba Stallions Cup Series falls under the umbrella of the Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival, which aims to promote Purebred Arabian racing and breeding around the world.
