Waldgeist defended his Prix Foy title at ParisLongchamp on Sunday, which has put him in line for another shot at the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
The 5yo son of Galileo was fourth to Enable in the Arc last year and then third behind the wondermare in this year’s King George at Royal Ascot, but Pierre Charles Boudout made sure he was on top of the competition in the Group Two contest over 12 furlongs.

Until two furlongs out, Waldgeist tracked Japanese contender Kiseki, ridden by Christophe Soumillon, but having got the push from rider Boudout he flew to score by two lengths from Way To Paris with Kiseki a further length behind in third.
Part-owner Dietrich von Boetticher said: “I was extremely pleased, because he did it with calmness and with ease.
“I think it was a wonderful training run for him and I think he is ready to go for the next challenge.”
