After Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s Battaash it was Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum’s Homespin's turn to win at Goodwood on Friday.

The 2yo Speightstown colt, trained by Mark Johnston and ridden by James Doyle, won the 1200m Nursery Handicap by a length and quarter from Dylan De Vega with Born To Destroy a further length and half behind in third.

Homespin was prominent throughout and improved further in the final furlong to finish well in a run that well and truly proved his class.
