Billesdon Brook caused a massive upset in Saturday's feature at Newmarket winning the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes over a mile by a length and a half from Veracious for trainer Richard Hannon.
Ridden by Sean Levey, the 4yo Champs Elysees filly turned in a performance of a lifetime swooping in late for a second Group One success of her career.
Veracious, trained by Sir Michael Stoute and ridden by Oisin Murphy, tried to challenge but failed to stop Billesdon Brook, with recent Matron Stakes winner Iridessa taking third a further half length behind.
Joint favourites, the retiring Laurens and dual Guineas heroine Hermosa, placed seventh and eighth in the nine runner affair.
Winning trainer Hannon said: "She's such a lovely filly and she didn't look like getting beaten today."
