Trainer John Gosden and jockey Frankie Dettori warmed up for Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe with victory in the Group 1 Prix Royallieu at Longchamp on Saturday.
It was a second Group One success for 2018 Epsom Oaks winner Anapurna, who made all under Dettori to hold off the Aidan O'Brien-trained Delphinia, with Gosden's other two runners, race favourite Enbihaar and Lah Ti Dar, filling in at third and fourth respectively.
An inquiry was held by stewards post race, to see if Anapurna had bumped Delphinia unfairly, but Gosden's charge was allowed to keep the victory that was gained by another gutsy performance.
Anapurna won by a length and a quarter with Enbihaar a short head behind Delphinia in third.
