THE 120KM DUBAI CROWN PRINCE ENDURANCE CUP sponsored by Emirates Airline on 27 February, will be the final ride of the week long Endurance Festival carrying the name of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council. Hosted by the Dubai Equestrian Club (DEC), the Festival comprises a total of four rides and is being held at Dubai International Endurance City.

The event was underway with the 120 km Dubai Crown Prince Ride for Ladies on 24 February and was followed by Thursday’s 120km Dubai Crown Prince Ride restricted to Private Stables/Individuals. The 120 km Yamamah Endurance Cup for Mares is scheduled for Friday, with the finale being the 120km Dubai Crown Prince Endurance Cup.

The safety of the riders and horses is paramount and DEC have made every effort to follow government health regulations regarding Covid-19, including the mandatory wearing of masks, social distancing, as well as regular sanitisation of the venue and facilities. Mohammed Essa Al Adhab, General Manager of DEC, added: “The United Arab Emirates has a rich equestrian heritage, and the flag is kept flying high through the vision of our leaders HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
