SHADWELL’S BLUEBLOODED broodmare band is set to support some of the leading stallions, both their own and at other operations, for this year’s breeding season, with the brilliant Taghrooda set to visit Lope De Vega. The Oaks and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes heroine produced her first winner last term when Almighwar struck twice at Kempton, and the 10yo will be joined by Group Three winner and Group 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest runnerup Thawaany, a Tamayuz half-sister to St Leger hero Kew Gardens, in visiting the Ballylinch Stud resident.

Tawkeel, an impressive winner of last season’s Group 1 Prix Saint Alary, will be covered by the mighty Dubawi, who is also set to be visited by Alandalos, by Invincible Spirit and out of the Classic heroine Ghanaati. Another high class mare set for a superstar covering is Enbihaar. The winner of the Lillie Langtry Stakes and Lonsdale Cup among five Group Two triumphs, the daughter of Redoute’s Choice is set for a first covering by Kingman.

Also among the mares set to visit the Banstead Manor resident are Sweet Solera Stakes scorer Tajaanus, Blandford Stakes winner and Oaks runner-up Tarfasha, and Handassa, the dam of Falmouth Stakes and Sun Chariot Stakes winner Nazeef. Shadwell will also continue to support Frankel, with Tatweej, an Invincible Spirit three-parts sister to Palace Pier, and Rayaheen, a winning daughter of Nayef and 1000 Guineas heroine Natagora among his book.

Garmoosha, by Kingmambo and out of Oaks winner Eswarah, has produced the top-class Raabihah and will once again return to her sire, Sea The Stars. The Gilltown Stud resident will also receive Alghabrah, a stakes-placed Tamayuz half-sister to Awtaad, and Maqsad, a daughter of Siyouni who landed the Pretty Polly Stakes.
